Microsoft Hosted Network with Automatic Region Selection help window 365 choose the best Azure region for Cloud PC. He improve performancereliability, and availability. Starting December 2025, Microsoft is introducing a new one three levels regional selection model. This gives IT admins more control over where Cloud PCs are created. This also helps reduce downtime by deploy Cloud PC in several regions.

Windows 365 Introduces Three-Tier Region Selection for Smarter Cloud PC Deployments

Three-level regional selection model in window 365 give admin better control where the Cloud PC is created. That’s included Geography Level, Regional Group, and Region.

Geography Level

This level automatically selects all regions in geography. This provides the highest resiliency because Cloud PCs are distributed across multiple regions. If one area has problems, other areas can still do it supports users. This option is best for most organizations. Example: Choosing Europe enables Cloud PC to be created in all European Azure regions.

Regional Group Level

This level allows admins to choose a certain territorial boundaries such as Japan, US East, or US West. This helps organizations follow data sovereignty rules while still using multiple regions. Distributed Cloud PC only within that selected region group. This increases resilience without violating compliance requirements. Example: Selecting a fixed Japan region group all Cloud PCs in Japan.

Regional Level

This level limits Cloud PCs to one or more specific Azure region. This is useful when there are strict compliance or performance requirements. Admin can select one region or several individual regions. This provides flexibility to balance availability and regulatory requirements. Example: Germany Only in the Midwestor West Central Germany and Central France.
