Hey, let’s discuss about How to Control Automatic Display Adjustments on HoloLens using Intune. This policy controls the HoloLens display adjusted automatically for each user. This helps device set the best visual position for the hologram to be visible clear and comfortable. Users do not need to change settings manually before using the device.

What are the Benefits of Disabling this Policy using Intune?
Disable this policy allows users to manually control display calibration on HoloLens devices. This is useful in situations where automatic adjustments cannot be made perfect result.
1. Users can fine-tune the display exactly to their comfort and vision.
2. Manual calibration provides better accuracy for special applications.
3. IT teams can test and validate device behavior more easily.
4. Training sessions become more practical with direct calibration.
5. Single user devices remain consistent without automatic changes.
How to Control Automatic Display Adjustments on HoloLens using Intune
This policy is important because it makes HoloLens easy to use for everyone. Different users have different eye positions, and automatic adjustment provides a better experience. He reduce errors and improve comfort during long-term use.
Create a Profile
First, log in to the Microsoft Intune admin center. Then, go to Device > Configuration > Create > New policy. In the next window, select platform as Windows 10 and laterand select profile type as Settings Catalog. Click Make to continue.


Basic Steps
You need to enter some basic details, such as Name and a information. For example, I entered the name as Automatic Display Adjustment. In the description, I put it To Enable Automatic Display adjustments. After filling in the details, click Next to continue.

Configuration Settings
On this page, we click + Add Settings hyperlink. Then you will get a setting optionsr which will display various types of categories to select certain settings. Here, I chose to do it Mixed Reality category and select Automatic Display Adjustment.

Once you select these settings and close the Settings selector. You will see it in Configuration page. Here we have only two settings: Enabled or Disabled. By default, Auto Display adjustment will be set to Allow. If you want to allow this setting, click it Next knob.

Block this Policy
If we block or do not configure this policy, you can block Automatic Appearance adjustments by toggle the switch from right to left. Then, you can click Next button to continue.

A Scope Tag in Intune I’m used to it control visibility and access to Intune resources based on administrative roles. The coverage tag is not mandatory. You can add scope tags using Select a scope tag knob. Click the Next button to continue.

Task
In Task tab, we can choose which user or device get this policy. Under Include Groups, click Add Group. From the list, select the group we want to target (HTMD – Test Policy). Then click the Next button.

Final Step
In the final Review + Create step, we see a summary of all the settings configured for the new profile; after reviewing the details and making the necessary changes by clicking Previously. We clicked Create to finish, and a notification confirmed that “Automatic Display Adjustment created successfully”.

Monitoring Status
We can check the policy status at Intun Portal. Generally, it takes approx 8 hours so that policies can be created. Use manual synchronization option to reduce configuration delays in Company Portal application on the device, then check the status again. Navigate to Device > Configuration. Click on specific policy (Automatic Display Adjustment).

How to Remove an Assigned Group from this Policy
Sometimes, we need to delete group of policy assignments for security updates. Open the policy from the Configuration tab and click it Edit button on the Tasks tab. Click on Delete button in this section to delete the policy. Click Review + Save after making changes.
