In this article, let’s check how to configure the new one Windows Application Settings For window 365 use Microsoft Intune. Windows Application Settings (Preview) especially includes User self-service actions in Windows Applications, allows administrators to decide which actions end users can perform themselves Cloud PCs And Cloud applicationon managed and unmanaged devices.
Windows Application Settings User Self Service Actions
If enabled, users can reset it Cloud PC to resolve issues without IT intervention (only applies to users assigned to Enterprise, Frontline Dedicated, or Backup provisioning policies) and initiate Recovery to restore their Cloud PC to its previous healthy state. These controls help reduce support overhead while providing users with fast, guided recovery options in a safe and controlled manner. There are two main user actions available in this setting: Reset And Restore. This table gives you a brief overview of the available configuration options.

Configure New Windows App Settings for Windows 365 in Intune
To configure new Windows App settings for Windows 365, go to Microsoft Intune Admin Center using your administrator credentials.
- Navigate to > Device > Device orientation > window 365
- Click Arrangement > +Create > Windows Application Settings (preview)
In Basics details pane, name the new setting HTML – Windows Application Settings and provide a brief explanation. After that, click Next.


In Configuration settingsoption is initially set to Not configured. Click on Allows users to reset their Cloud PC And Allow the user to start Recovery drop-down menu, and change the setting to Possible.

In the next panel, maintain Coverage tag set to Default. If you tenant has a custom coverage tag, you can select it according to your setting needs, then click Next.

I set the setting to Windows 365 – CPC Users group. This Login ID group including users who need this setting. To do this, click Add group then select the appropriate user group in the Select group section.

In Review + create page, carefully review all the settings you have set for HTML – Windows Application Settings. Once you make sure everything is correct, select it Make to spread it.

End User Experience of the Reset Option
Now we will evaluate the end user experience newly configured settings. You can access Cloud PC or Windows Cloud Apps either through Windows Apps or your browser on https://windows.cloud.microsoft. Here, I am using a Windows Application.
Open the Windows application and log in using your user credentials. Then, navigate to Devices, find your Cloud PC, and click the three dots for more options. You will now see the Reset option available to you.
Notes: Reset – delete all data and reset any changes made to this Cloud PC. Resetting will: Reinstall Windows, Delete personal files and applications, Reset all changes to settingsAnd Delete all saved restore points. To avoid losing everything on this Cloud PC, use restore to restore it to a previous point in time. Cloud PC will not be available until the reset is complete.

To perform a reset, click on Reset choice. This will bring up the Reset Windows 365 pop-up. Select the check box for Yes, I want to reset this Cloud PCthen click Reset.

End User Experience of Recovery Options
Open the Windows App, sign in with your user credentials, and navigate to Devices. Find your Cloud PC and click on the three dots to see availability Restore choice.

Click on the Restore option. This will bring up Restore Windows 365 pop-up window. Select the check box for Yes, I want to restore this Cloud PCselect an available restore point, then click Restore to continue.
Notes: Restore – Restore your Cloud PC desires delete permanently all data is saved to your PC’s Cloud between the specified time and now. Delete all apps installed between the specified time and now. This action cannot be reversed.
