Hey, let’s discuss about Enforce a Password Prompt on Wakeup for Stronger Security Using Intune. This Windows policy makes the computer request a password when wake up. When the screen turns on after sleep, the computer remains locked. Only real users can open it. This is guarding secure device.
Before enabling this policythe device will wake up and go straight to the desktop. Anyone close to a computer can access filesemail, or application without requiring a password. This poses a high security risk in the office, home or public place. Sensitive information becomes easy to see.
After enabling this policythe device always displays the lock screen and prompts password. Only the right user can unlock it and keep working. This prevents rapid and unauthorized access, even during short breaks. It strengthens overall device protection.

Enforce Password Prompts on Wakeup for Stronger Security using Intune
when this policy applies activatedthe computer will always ask for the password after waking up. This means that no one can open the device just by pressing a button or moving the mouse. The lock screen will appear every time the device comes out of sleep mode. This example shows what this policy looks like protect your data in daily use.
Create a Profile
You can start creating policies aligned. Using simple steps, you can easily complete policy creation. Open Intune admin center. Go to Device > Configuration > Policies > + Create > + New policy.After that, you will get a profile window to select platforms And profile type.

Basic Steps
Basically tab is the first step in creating a policy. On this tab, you have to provide a Name for the policy you want to create. The name field is must. Without giving it a name, you cannot create a policy on the basic tab. You can also explain the policy, which it is information not mandatory. Click on Next knob.

Configuration Settings
That configuration tab lets you select specific policy settings to manage your organization’s devices. On this page, we click + Add Settings hyperlink. Then you will get a setting optionsr which will display various types of categories to select certain settings. Here he is Administrative \Templates\ System\power management\sleep settings And Require password when computer is on (on battery).

After you choose Require password when computer is on (on battery) settings and close the Settings selector. You will see it in Configuration page. Here we have only two settings: Allow or Block. By default, it will be set to Block. If you want to block this setting, click it Next knob.

Activate this Policy
If we possible this policy, you can activate Require password when computer is on (on battery) by toggle the switch. After reviewing or adding other settings, you can click Next button to continue.

Scope Tag]
A Scope Tag in Intune I’m used to it control visibility and access to Intune resources based on administrative roles. The coverage tag is not mandatory. You can add scope tags using Select a scope tag knob. Click the Next button to continue.

Task
In Task tab, we can choose which user or device get this policy. Under Include Groups, click Add Group. From the list, select the group we want to target (e.g. HTML – Test Policy). Then click Next knob.

Review + Create
In the final Review + Create step, we see a summary of all the settings configured for the new profile; after reviewing the details and making the necessary changes by clicking Previously. We clicked Create to finish, and a notification confirmed that “Require password when computer is successfully created”.

Monitoring Status
We can check the policy status at Intun Portal. Generally, it takes approx 8 hours so that policies can be made. Use manual synchronization option to reduce configuration delays in Company Portal application on the device, then check the status again. Navigate to Device > Configuration. Click on certain policies .

How to Remove an Assigned Group from this Policy
Sometimes, we need to delete group of policy assignments for security updates. Open the policy from the Configuration tab and click it Edit button on the Tasks tab. Click on Delete button in this section to delete the policy. Click Review + Save after making changes.
